East Hawaii Outdoor Circle - 2023 Tree Giveaway

Arbor Day (November 4th) saw the fifth iteration of the East Hawaii Outdoor Circle’s annual tree giveaway event, begun in 2019 to help mitigate long term impacts from that year's natural disasters. International Paper and the Arbor Day Foundation supported the giveaway this year, which saw over 1000 fruit/food trees given out to members of the East Hawaii Community. With the success of the online ticket reservation system, in combination with a drive through format, the East Hawaii Outdoor Circle tree giveaway team is excited about what the event will continue to accomplish at future tree giveaways, and continue to help not only see more trees planted around Hawaii Island, but also through the occurrence of new food sources for those who received these trees.
