The people of Hawai‘i place a high value on trees. Since its early days, The Outdoor Circle (TOC) has made planting and protecting trees one of its primary duties. TOC serves as a clearinghouse for information about tree care.
We work closely with the government to ensure that Hawaii’s tree protection laws are enforced and that public trees are properly maintained. We championed legislation to protect “Exceptional Trees” and later to provide tax incentives for their care. TOC also works closely with the green industry to encourage state of the art tree planting and maintenance techniques that will preserve and protect the beautiful trees of Hawai‘i.
