#GIVINGTUESDAY Got Success!
Thanks to our donors, we blew past our goal for our first-ever #GivingTuesday campaign. Nearly 30 people gifted more than $2,700 to The Outdoor Circle. #GivingTuesday is a global effort to re-focus people’s attention during the holidays on the importance of charity and giving back to our community. According to the #GivingTuesday organizers, 26,000 organizations in 68 countries participated this year in the giving-back effort.
For our part, TOC helped giveaway nearly 300 trees to Hawaiian Homestead residents in Kapolei. Nearly 300 trees were gifted to residents to help return the trees to this once forested area that is now known for its terribly hot afternoons.
You can still get involved and give back. Make your DONATION HERE or send us an email if you have time to donate.

Kapolei Tree Give Away-December 1, 2014
In honor of #GIVINGTUESDAY, our interns gave away over two hundred trees on Monday, December 1, 2014. In a partnership with Kaupe‘a Homestead Association, The Outdoor Circle continues its century old mission of creating a greener Hawai‘i by giving away trees to a neighborhood in Honolulu's second city. Pre-western contact, Kapolei was a forested community, but industry over the last 200 years removed most of the old growth trees. Now that people are returning to this community, the Circle is helping them out with as many trees as possible. We look forward to working with the people of Kapolei for years to come.
